LoveGoBuy Size Guide: Make Two Measurements Comparable

A number helps you choose a size only when you know what it measures. Before comparing a LoveGoBuy product option with your clothes, identify the units, endpoints and whether the chart describes a body or a garment.

A number helps you choose a size only when you know what it measures. Before comparing a LoveGoBuy product option with your clothes, identify the units, endpoints and whether the chart describes a body or a garment. A familiar size letter cannot replace those details.

Begin with the fit problem you want to solve

If your current jacket is too short, choosing a wider size may not solve the problem. If a layer restricts movement, body length alone will not explain it. Decide which part of the fit needs attention, then find the relevant dimensions.

Use a garment you own with a comparable purpose as a reference. A close-fitting top does not provide a direct comparison for an outer layer. Measure it in the condition described by the chart, without silently stretching or changing how it lies.

Compare methods before comparing numbers

Chart wording or diagramCheck before using it
Chest or bustFlat garment width, circumference or body measurement?
LengthWhich point does the measurement start from?
SleeveFrom a shoulder seam, neckline or another marked point?
WaistRelaxed, stretched or intended body size?
InseamIs it the inside leg measurement rather than total trouser length?

Follow the diagram for that product. If it is unclear, ask for the endpoints rather than interpreting an ambiguous column in the way that produces the size you wanted.

An inch equals 2.54 centimetres. For example, 22 inches converts to 55.88 centimetres; that is only a unit conversion, not a recommended size. Keep the method unchanged when converting. A flat width and a body circumference are still different measurements after conversion.

A jacket example: sleeve numbers can mislead

The colour-block raglan-sleeve varsity jacket on OG offers a concrete starting point. Because sleeve measurements can use different starting points, do not compare a chart number with a shoulder-seam measurement on another jacket unless the methods match.

The listing title does not supply a chart or establish the dimensions of any size. Seek the relevant information for the exact option before choosing it. If layering is your aim, compare with an outer layer you already wear over similar clothing rather than inferring room from the photograph.

Choose the option, then keep its chart with it

A collection may include several versions of a similar design. Make sure the chart belongs to the version and option you intend to order. Save enough detail to recognise it when returning to the page.

The spreadsheet links guide explains how an offer can change even though its address still opens. If the chart or options have changed, reconsider the selection instead of carrying the earlier size decision forward automatically.

Avoid universal rules such as adding two sizes. Different dimensions may change by different amounts between options. A larger size can add width without giving you the length or proportions you want.

Use a warehouse measurement for the unresolved dimension

When a measurement service is available, ask about the dimension that matters and request a clear view of its endpoints. Confirm any charge and the method first. A photograph of the size tag answers a different question.

LoveGoBuy's inspection guidance captured on 10 September 2026 distinguished label checking from actual sizing. Do not assume routine photos include garment measurements. The QC guide helps phrase a request without expecting a photograph to predict comfort or wear.

If two measurements disagree, compare units, endpoints and the selected option before deciding that either is wrong. Small differences can arise from how an item is placed, but do not invent a universal tolerance for an undocumented chart.

Size questions

Can height and weight determine my size?

They do not capture all proportions or fit preferences. Use product-specific information and relevant garment comparisons.

What if neither option fits my measurements well?

Another cut may suit you better. You do not have to choose between two unsuitable options simply because you like the design.

Will a measured item fit exactly as expected?

Measurements improve the comparison, but construction, fabric behaviour and personal preference also matter. Do not treat a numerical match as a wear test.
